YAY!!
I had a visit with Dexter today! 🙂

He’s doing so great… seems really settled into a nice routine with New Daddy and his anxiety is under control. He’s being weaned off of the prozac. He’s not lunging at bicycles anymore …

He’s a happy healthy dog with a new leash on life!!

Oh gosh … it just fills me with so much joy!!

Yesterday was a perfect day for a bake-sale!! 🙂

We set up tables out front of Tattoo Zoo and even though the sale didn’t officially start until noon … at about 11:45am there was a giant Dessert Mob!

Vegans were frantically (but humanely) trying to fill up their boxes/bags/hands with goodies before it all disappeared.

We had a steady flow of customers all day and by about 3pm we were basically sold out but we hung out till 4pm anyway … it was a beautiful sunny day and it felt nice to have the warm sun against my skin. It’s feeling like summmer here already! 🙂

This collection of cupcakes sat undisturbed for almost the whole day … nobody wanted to mess up the message. 🙂

Our community here in Victoria is small compared to bigger cities but we are mighty!

It was such a treat to visit with new and old friends …

Next year I have to remember to make some dog-cookies. We had a few disappointed doggies show up …

Big thanks to my friend Dave who was the coordinator of the bake-sale. He did a bang-up job of organizing the bakers and the event!!

And a BIG thank you to all the volunteer bakers and to everyone who showed up to support the event. I took a peek into the cash-box and I think we raised close to $1200 for Friends of Animals (Canada office).

When I got home I was feeling a little woozy and I thought it was from all the sugar I had eaten but I realized later that I had forgot to put sunscreen on and I ended up with a wicked burn. Only I would end up with an apron-string tan-lines…

Pink is the new tan??  🙂

I had a dream last night that my stomach was covered in dreadlocks. What??

So I cut them all of and underneath was a giant bloody scab. WHAAT?

So I cleaned off the scab and there was a giant hole that went directly into my stomach (below my belly button). W-h-a-t??

I looked in the hole and sticking out was one of my make-up brushes so I pulled it out and cleaned it off. I didn’t remember the dream until I was putting on my face this morning and it all came flooding back to me. Creepy.

It was the WEIRDEST dream I’ve ever had…

Anyone care to interpret this one?  *laugh*

I have so many things going on that I want to share but can’t!!

I’m making a web-thing for someone and it’s going well … I’m working on another thing that should come to fruition in Sept … I’m also working on this other thing for someone else and so far so good…I’m sorry I can’t share specifics but you know I would if I could.  🙂

It was just a few months ago that I was complaining to my therapist that I felt that I was creatively dead. That I had nothing more to give or share.

She reminded me that Jan/Feb are always the slowest months for me (that’s the greatest thing about seeing a therapist for years on end – they see your patterns) and said that as soon as the sun comes out I’ll find myself swamped with work.

Well the sun is out and I’m SWAMPED with the creative spirit!! As usual … she’s right!! 🙂

On top of all these projects – I’m leaving for the UK in a month to see my family and to do some sight-seeing. I’ll also be doing a book signing at VX. This is my only public appearance while I’m away so I hope some of you Londoners can make it.

Goodness me … I’m so happy the sun is out again! 🙂
