Remember a few months ago when I told you about The Smiths Project?
Janice spent 2010 recording EVERY single Smiths song but everything you hear is made with only her voice. Each song contains anywhere between 30-50 layers of vocals and the result is otherworldly. I’m normally not a fan of covers … especially covers of songs from a band that I love but Janice has managed to re-imagine these beloved Smiths songs and has me hearing them in a whole new way. 🙂
Janice is going to release the songs in a 6-cd Box Set but in order for her to buy the rights to the song, make the discs, assemble jewel cases, etc … it takes $$. So she has set up a “Kickstarter” page to raise funds.
