Monday = green dog

On Monday we had to run errands in Fairfield so Gerry and I decided to go for a little hike with Fergus.

We used to live in this area in a house across the street from Gonzales Beach. It was a great area to live in (across from the beach – hello!!) and I LOVED the house we rented but the landlord was a nightmare. Broken bathroom (that never got fixed), broken window (never fixed), etc etc. Our landlord refused to do any upkeep and when we found mold in the bedroom we hightailed it out of there.

So on Monday I parked in front of our old house and I was pleased to see that it had been fixed up. Probably has new owners now… it was a really cool house so I’m happy to see it looking so good.

We hiked up Gonzales hill and the view was spectacular. I never get bored of this view …

Then we took the rocky pathway down to the beach and did some wandering on the beach cliffs. The whole time I was thinking “I hope I don’t fall off and hurt my ACL like Jane.” Poor Jane. 🙁

The beach was in fine form … I am so lucky to live this close to the ocean.

Fergus LOVES going to the beach. He especially loves investigating tidal pools …

Unfortunately he also decided to investigate this one …

And then fell in … and then swam through it and came out the other side a very green dog. I tried to snap a photo of him but he shook it all off by the time I got my camera out. Dang.

Some of the houses in that area sit right on the beach.

I would give my pinky toe to live in one of these houses … maybe one day.  🙂
