I just heard from my publishers that they signed a clearance for the production company on the FOX TV series “Fringe” to use the 2010 Go Vegan calendar in the show!!
FRINGE is one of my FAVOURITE SHOWS EVER!!!! Weeeeeeeee!
Not sure when it will air but keep your eyes peeled for the calendar. I’m sure it will just be in the background somewhere but I hope it’s used as a prop or that Joshua Jackson sees the calendar and falls in love with me. What? Oh. Did I say that out loud? *laugh*
Speaking of Joshua Jackson have you seen his movie One Week? I really loved it … thought it was a beautiful love letter to Canada and even though it’s about Joshua’s character facing his own mortality I found it really up-lifting because of it’s message about living in the moment. I dug it.
Not to gush … but I’ve always been impressed with actors like Joshua who don’t over-act when they need to convey heavy emotions. Without saying a word of dialogue they share an internal monologue through their eyes/body language. My other movie-boyfriend Ryan Gosling is in the same category. Maybe it’s because they’re both Canadian or maybe they went to the Joey Tribuani school of acting and are just pretending they smelled a fart. Â 🙂

Wahoo! freakin’ brilliant! That’s obviously coming from someone on the inside who knows and loves you and your work- nothing’s random in set decorating- nice one!! I don’t know who’s working on it but I now casting- I’ve been in a handful of times. I think you should come for the day when they’re shooting your calendar- why not, right? 🙂
Josh is a nice kid… worked on a show with him loooong time ago called Ronnie and Julie here in Vancouver – iI think he was still a teen then… just idol chit chat on set while i wrangled extras. so having a crush on him is a good thang!

Congratulations on getting the calendar on Fringe! The more mainstream exposure you can get for the vegan cause, the better. 🙂 As for your comment about One Week, it really is a “beautiful love letter to Canada” as you say. Imo, this is not only because of the nature of the trip that Joshua Jackson’s character Ben makes from Toronto to the western tip of Canada and that Jackson, himself, is Canadian, but also because a number of Canadian musicians make cameo appearance, including: Gord Downie, Emm Gryner and Joel Plaskett. I love Emm and I really enjoyed hers and Gord Downie’s contribution to the film. Oh yeah…and I’ll never forget the scene at the end between Joshua Jackson and the German couple…I get all teary eyed when I get to that part of the film. 🙂
