Day off in The Peg

Had a day off today … and I spent it with my brother, niece and nephew while my sister in-law (The OTHER Sarah Kramer) slept off her hang over. *laugh*

I took the kids to the book store and bought them presents.
My nephew found something he liked… 🙂I bought my niece a book about vampires. Apparently vampires are the new Harry Potter.

Then we hit Fresh for lunch. A word of warning. Fresh in Winnipeg is not like Fresh in Toronto. They had only a few things on the menu for vegans and even fewer things for vegans who don’t eat soy (me!) but lunch was pretty good (*cough* needs more seasoning *cough*).Later in the evening my bro made roasted veggies and perogies for dinner with an AWESOME Vegan Cesar Salad dressing that they sell at his market beside his cafe. It was the best meal I’ve had since I left home. Yay for home cooked meals.

After dinner we did some crafts and made puppets. My brother made a puppet of my Dad and we all laughed and laughed and laughed some more. Sorry Dad. 🙂
And of course there was Lilly …
Before bed my nephew put on quite a show …
I’m a happy Auntie today.

    Cool day with family.

As for vampires being in the new Harry Potter…did you buy her a Stephenie Meyer book? Excellent read for even adults! Great love story with adventure.

I’ve read the whole Twilight series, loved ’em! As “The Veg Next Door” said, a great read even for adults.

How great. I can see your nephew has good taste in books too. I spotted your new book at my parents house this weekend. You’ve found your way into Wyoming too!
