The Uvic Bunnies need you!

There will be a FREEDOM MARCH for the UVIC rabbits on Wed – Feb 9th – 3pm.

More details HERE.

After rabbit groups fulfilled UVic’s request to shrink the campus population to 200 rabbits, the University has since decided that UVic should be entirely ‘Rabbit Free’.

UVic has neglected the issue for decades, and now wants to eliminate the school grounds of one of its most treasured icons, the campus bunnies. Instead of implementing a few simple steps, such as signs alerting people not to abandon rabbits, and facilitating a Trap, Neuter, Return program (which would cost nothing, given local vets have volunteered their services), UVic instead plans to kill all rabbits found on campus after February 28th. This, despite over 1,000 moved off grounds by caring groups.

Join the UVic Friends of Animals Club in our march around Ring Road in a demonstration to show UVic that the bunnies are wanted, and should be able to live their lives in peace at the University. More info HERE.
