The Next Day

So yesterday was filled with walking up and down Valencia and visiting that rad pirate store. The photo is a little fuzzy… but you get the idea. Inside looks like a boat and all the drawers on the wall are filled with stuff. It’s a crazy store and all the money goes to such a great idea. Read all aboot them here.

I went home and had a nap, got dressed and went to OTSU for my book signing party. Jenny from Veg News showed up. Chi-hui and Tommy showed up… I met them 2 years ago at the last book signing and we got to catch up. Even my long lost friend Jake showed up, I love it when people you least expect pop back into your life.

I didn’t take many photos at the book signing. I’m too busy chatting… I need a photographer to follow me. Ooooh and a make up artist and a massuse. Oooh yeah. I’m a diva. I need an entrouage.

The best part of the night was when Jeremy, Yvonne, Chi-hui and I went to New Ganges restaurant for Indian food… holy cow. Really wonderful Vegan Indian food is awesome, but Vegan Indian food served by this guy (see photo below) is even better. What a hilarious time we had… He would thrust our food into our face and yell “smell it. Smell it!” then he fed Jeremy and gave us wordly advice. “If your food doesn’t burn your hands, then it won’t burn your mouth.” Words to live by. Words to live by.

This photo cracks me up every time I see it. Jeremy looks like he’s being killed with a fork. Ahhhh haaa ha.

San Fran is crazy mad fun.

Hi Sarah! A friend of mine introduced me to Indian food this past year – I LOVE butter chicken but have been slowly getting away from the icky animal bits so she started making it with chick peas instead of chicken and soy milk instead of cream! OH MY GOD! It’s amazing!

Hope you end up coming to Edmonton one of these days…
