Woke up early and packed our bags for the trip home. How was our trip over already? Time flew by …
But before we left I had to have one last snuggle with Malcom and the other pups. π
Got a lift to the airport (Thanks Jane for being the hostess with the mostess), checked our bags (my bag weighed 49.9 lbs)… phew.
Got on the plane … and sat on the tarmac for 45 minutes. WHAT?? Apparently there was something wrong with the brakes and they needed to look at them (please – by all means – take your time). So we amused ourselves by taking goofy photos
and watching Knight and Day with Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz. *gag* Although I do have to say that it was the perfect airplane movie. All fluff. No stuff.
Flying into Vancouver always makes me happy. So green. So lush.
BUT THE TRAFFIC! Ugh. We had to drive to Abbottsford to pick up Fergus from Gerry’s parents house and what normally takes us 45 minutes took us almost THREE HOURS! The roads were crazy. At one point I was driving down the highway at 10km (6.213 miles) an hour. I don’t know how you mainlanders deal with all that fercockt traffic.ΓΒ π
Because the traffic was so bad we were only able to visit with Gerry’s parents for a few minutes before we had toΓΒ hit the road again to catch the ferry … boy oh boy were we ever lucky. We caught the 9pm ferry (the last one to the island) by TWO minutes. If we had missed it .. we would have had to have slept in the car.ΓΒ π
Some of BSG was filmed on the ferries. Did you know that?ΓΒ π
Fergus was very happy we were back together … so much so that he took the leadership position in the car. *laugh*
Don’t worry. We were parked at the time …
How is this comfortable?
It’s good to be home …ΓΒ π
Those last 3 pictures are just great! They made me LOL. Fergus is such a dog. π
