I just read a fantastic book by Bonnie Burton called Girls Against Girls (why we are mean to each other and how we can change).
This book should be handed out to every pre-teen girl before they enter Jr.High as recommended reading. Smart, funny, informative and most importantly offers some real solutions for girls who find themselves the victim of a ‘mean girl’.
The thing I love the most about this book is the conversational language used. It’s easy/fun to read but there is no dumbing down of the message. The woman quoted in the book offer real life stories and solutions and on every page there is an inspiring information about ‘girl power’ and how important it is for us as sisters to love and support each other.
I wish I had this book when I was younger … perhaps I wouldn’t have cried so much. 🙁
I give it 10 out of 10 mean girls who tormented me in school.
