Fergus not sure about DNA!

Whenever we go for a walk, strangers on the street stop us and ask what kind of dog Fergus is. My standard answer is “I have no idea. He’s a mutt but we think poodle/terrier“.

Then people offer their own thoughts: Bichon Frise, Maltese, someone even thought he had a bit of Chinese Crested in him. Huh? Then I saw DNAmydog.com advertised in a magazine and I knew right away what I wanted to do.

Last night we did the swabs and Fergus was fine with it. I mean … he was like “What the F are you doing?” but he’s always been really good with procedures. I’ve been poking and prodding him since he was a puppy so he’s used to being handled. He lets me brush his teeth all the time so this wasn’t much different.

I just mailed in the swab and in a couple of weeks we will find out all about his DNA.

I hope Gerry is the father. 🙂
