Fergus is still not sure …

Day 151 … Fergus and Dexter are aware of each other but they don’t really interact, play or do stuff together but I think they are slowly on the way to being buds.

Fergus has taken on the “older cousin” role. He’s punched Dexter in the head a few times when Dexter crossed Fergus’ personal-space boundary so now Dexter keeps a respectful distance. 🙂

It’s so great to have a mellow, balanced dog like Fergus around for Dexter to model his behaviour after. 🙂

Several months ago I finally found a home for a dalmatian/pit bull mix I was fostering. I was fabulous to find a furever home where he is absolutely loved and adored by his new family – and he’s only 2 minutes away so I can visit whenever I would like!. When we brought him home he had some aggression issues (he hates men in hates!?) as well as insisting he was top dog. It took a lot of work and patience on myself and my dog Roxy to work through his issues and find him a home but it all worked out in the end and I’m delighted I had the experience. Thank you for fostering this dog and working with him to make him the best dog he can be. It takes a special person and not all are up for the challenge. 🙂

I recently rescued a lab/pit. He was previously abused and cowered when anyone would go near him. He is now happy and not so shy, but instead acts extremely aggressive( growls, hair stands up, deep bark) if any male comes near him, except my boyfriend. We are currently fostering and are having difficulty getting him adopted because he won’t let strangers near him if my boyfriend or I are not present. It seems like you have experience with these issues and any advice or resources you could direct me to would be greatly appreciated!!
