Call me crazy…

I usually have toast w/almond butter and a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast. I’m a creature of habit… especially when it comes to morning food.

I don’t have much of a sweet tooth, so the oats are usually just covered with some plain soymilk and I eat it as/is.

Well lately I’ve been adding a large dollop of plain Nancy’s Soygurt instead of milk. Wowzers. I loves it. It’s tangy goodness in a bowl. Maybe I’m weird. I dunno. I mean… I do like green olives dipped in maple syrup (no… I’m not pregnant).

What foods do you combine that are weird but taste good??

A staple dish in my immediate family is black beans and rice. All of the assorted “topping” were set out in bowls in the middle of the table, you assemble your own. Stuff like spinach, lettuce, sprouts, scallions, tomatoes, avocado, chilis, salsa, etc. A side effect of this is that my sister and I both LOVE sprouts and salsa together.

ps- made your edamae hummus last night and it is GREAT – I’m thinking of using it in both maki and spring rolls, too…

The combination of weird things lately is hummus mixed w/pumpkin filling & pomegranate seeds mixed in. It is divine w/some pita bread, just makes you “taste the wintery season.”

I eat tofu. Not a lot but some.

Yeah. I heard that about you!

Sarah, it’s not weird to not eat tofu if one has a soy allergy. Luckily, I am not one of those people, although I stop just shy of being tofu-breathed.
