Gerry and I decided to close the shop on Saturday and take The Zoo Crew to Beerfest as a way to celebrate the end of the summer.
We even had special shirts made …Â 🙂
We made 50 shirts total. I’ll have a few for sale online starting Tuesday… so warm up your paypal engines. 🙂
Beerfest is not as debaucherous as you might think … there are over 50 microbreweries (most of them Canadian and a large majority are local) and you go around from tent to tent sampling all the different beers.
Of course there are people there who are only to get tanked and act foolish but we didn’t see any craziness until near the end of the festival when a douchy-kid came over to talk to us about our Tattoo Zoo shirts and got into a little kerfuffle with Cody. The spat ended with beer being spilled all over me and I had wet pants for a while … I hope nobody thinks I pee’d myself. 🙂
There were TONS of people walking around the soccer field sampling beer and I even met some cookbook super-fans!
After trolling through most of the tents we set up camp on the grassy knoll and chilled out.
Some of us had a little snooze …
My favourite Gypsy brass band BUCAN BUCAN came by and played a few songs …
They are sooo awesome. Check out their website HERE.
And a Canadian celebration wouldn’t be complete without beavers playing bag-pipes.
One of them got arrested later in the day … not sure for what … but I’m sure it wasn’t pretty.
All in all it was a fantastic day spent with the best tattoo crew in the world and a great way to celebrate how hard we worked this summer …
I LOVE ALL MY PALS AT TATTOO ZOO!!
Gerry and I stumbled home (I will admit a little tipsy – despite pacing myself) and had cereal for dinner before I crashed on the couch for a nap. Fun day. 🙂
I was in bed by 8:30. Then wide awake at midnight, haha. Oh afternoon drinking.
