Ugh

My Dog … just spent the entire day in bed with a migraine. 🙁

Fergus was great. He squished right up beside me the whole day and made me sleep … and boy-howdy I slept. A lot! So much sleep that I started to have crazy dreams about carving out my eyeball with a spoon just to stop the pain.

Thank goodness for Gerry. He brought me ice-packs, water, made me a green smoothie and lay in bed (in pitch black) and watched tv shows on ipad (while I kept my eyes closed and pretended I was listening to a radio play).

Ugh. Who else gets menstrual migraines? What are we going to do about them? They’re just awful!!

That’s terrible! I don’t get any bad menstrual symptoms like that, just weird stabbing pains in the cervical area :p . I hope you feel better tomorrow!!!

I feel for you. I get these killer migraines on a regular monthly schedule and have yet to find anything that helps.

🙁 Migraines suck. Have you spoken to your naturopath, this combination may not be the right for you but I had a client recently experiencing monthly migraines around the time of her period for the last two years. I put her on a high dose of good quality Vitex Agnus Castus, Feverfew, made a few diet changes and no migraines for 6 months so far!!! Just a slight but manageable headache compared to missing work, one to two days in bed with vomiting, diarrhoea and extreme pain. Good luck!

I also get them punctually every month and sometimes more than once, sometimes they last up to 3 days 🙁
What I’ve noticed that helps is lots of wated throughout the month, and lots of fresh fruit and veggies… sort of eating fewer calories and center them around fruits and veggies… but still… no cure yet.
Rescue remedy can also help 🙂

When I feel a migraine coming on I use a drop of peppermint essential oil and massage it into the back of my neck and a little around the hairline of my forehead. Warning-do not rub your eyes or get it around your eyes! It feels like a nice, icy blast of relief.
